Inspired by Sgt Peppercorn’s marathon in the United States, The Beatles Marathon UK brings together talented bands from around Edinburgh to perform all of the hits by the famous four. It is a charity event, with money raised going to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – a charity founded by rugby player Doddie Weir OBE, dedicated to funding research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and offering vital support to those living with the illness, as well as their families.
