The Charles Hawtrey Band

Taking their name from John Lennon’s characteristically witty statement at the start of Two of Us on album Let it Be, The Charles Hawtrey Band were the first to open at the inaugural Beatles Marathon UK in 2023.

The band has reconfigured since last time and now comprise of brothers Tommy and John on vocals, guitarists David Donaldson and Paul Rodgers, base by Mike Pisanek and Dave Maxwell on drums. The older generation can still be heard at their local – Sandy Bells pub on Monday afternoons under the guise of Stormy Monday, while the brothers are part of a gigging band know as Loose Change.

The Charles Hawtrey Band will be playing the album Please Please Me, as well as singles “From Me to You” and “She Loves You”.
